The EBMWG organises a bi-annual congress and the Bone Marrow Symposium and Workshop at the bi-annual Meeting of the European Association for Haematopathology (EA4HP). The EBMWG is dedicated to the advancement of Bone Marrow Haematopathology through educational and scientific exchanges worldwide.

Welcome

The European Bone Marrow Working Group was established in 1993 as an informal group aimed at exchanging knowledge in the field of bone marrow pathology and at organizing seminars and tutorials. Over the past three decades, it has evolved into a large and successful association.

In 2024, the group was officially established as an association in Utrecht, marking a significant new chapter in its history.

The EBWMG aims to advance bone marrow haematopathology by

  • the organization of scientific meetings, workshops, tutorials, and seminars
  • the promotion of scientific collaboration among group members
  • the integration of relevant data from allied sciences
  • the exchange of ideas and the dissemination of knowledge worldwide;
  • cooperation with allied societies, in particular the EA4HP
  • the stimulation of interest in research and the improvement of technology and methodology
